Notice (Be sure you read it before order):

1. This 2-in-1 zoom camera outputs CVBS by factory default. You can switch among AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS formats in OSD menu. AHD/TVI/CVI/CVBS hybrid DVR or CCTV tester is required to obtain camera images in corresponding format. Without AHD/TVI/CVI DVR, you CAN NOT get AHD/TVI/CVI camera images with direct connection to regular monitor, unless your monitor supports AHD/TVI/CVI input. — VERY IMPORTANT!

2. Due to different product lots, the camera case words printing may be different. Some product lots may come without words printed. 

Description:

AHD is short for Analog High Definition, unique alternative standard for HD data transmission solution over coaxial cable, different from CVBS analog (D1/960H) solution.

It is developed by the reputable video processor designer Nextchip headquarted in Korea, who is well-known for CCD ISP NVP2040/2041 (760H), NVP2080/2090 (960H), CMOS ISP NVP2430/2431 (960P) and NVP2410/2421/2400/2440/2441 (1080P), etc. Compared with other coaxial HD solutions, AHD features easy upgrading current analog system to HD, 500m transmission over 75-3 cable, supporting 960H/D1 display (subject to camera R&D), open R&D platform and better cost-efficiency.

Tips:

1. What is HLC (Highlight Compensation) function: 

    Highlight Compensation suppresses strong light sources (such as the headlights of automobiles, flashlights, etc.) in dark places and prevents camera from being blinded.

2. What is IR-CUT (ICR) function: 

    A day and night color camera delivers color images during the day. As light diminishes below a certain level, the camera can automatically switch to night mode to make use of near infrared (IR) light to deliver high-quality, black and white images.

Near-infrared light, which spans from 700 nanometers (nm) up to about 1000 nm, is beyond what the human eye can see, but most camera sensors can detect it and make use of it. During the day, a day and night camera uses an IR-cut filter. IR light is filtered out so that it does not distort the colors of images as the human eye sees them. When the camera is in night (black and white) mode, the IR-cut filter is removed, allowing the camera’s light sensitivity to reach down to very low lux.
