Please Know Before Purchasing:
Due to firmware upgrade, for the RA89 walkie talkie with the latest version of firmware, or , you upgrade your RA89 walkie talkie into the latest firmware, you need press SK2( side key 2 ) + Button 9 at the same time and turn on it to extend frequency range.
This method can be applied to firmware verison published after .
If it doesn't work, then you perhaps need press button F + 4 at the same time and turn on to extend frequency.

How to extend the default frequency range of RA89 into full frequency range(VHF 136 – 174 MHz, and, UHF 400 – 480 MHz)?
Instruction to extend frequency range for RA89 of USA verison:
Turn off your RA89 walkie talkie.In the status of shutdown, press[F] button and [4] number button at the same time and turn on it.
If you would like to narrow its frequency into default frequency, please turn off it, press [SK2] side key 2 and [7] number button at the same time and turn on it again.
Instruction to extend frequency range for RA89 of European verison:
Turn off your RA89 walkie talkie.In the status of shutdown, press[F] button and [4] number button at the same time, and turn on it.
If you would like to decrease its frequency into default frequency, please turn off it, press [SK2] side key 2 and [*Lock] button at the same time, and turn on it again.
